Vintage Farmhouse Style Pine Sawbuck Table / Primitive Dining Table
Vintage Farmhouse Style Pine Sawbuck Table / Primitive Dining Table
Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this fantastic early-mid 20th century primitive antique style sawbuck table. Sawbuck tables, named for their resemblance to a sawhorse or sawbuck, gained fashion in the early 18th century throughout Colonial America. The legs are tenoned together where they intersect and have a nice carved lamb's tongue detail on the edges of the legs and medial stretcher. These make great dining tables in country or farmhouse interiors, and they provide more than average leg space because there’s no apron underneath the table. The table has 28 3/4” of leg space underneath the top. The Pine selected for the table has a ton of character and the table is finished in a beautiful Pumpkin Pine color. The table is in very good condition with our only notes being the one missing diagonal stretcher & minor surface wear (light nicks & dings). The table measures 54” wide x 30” deep x 29 3/4” tall.
