VINTAGE FEDERAL STYLE DIMINUTIVE WINGBACK ARMCHAIR
Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 20th century Antique Federal Style wingback armchair. This was in our personal collection for years, but with a new interior design scheme dictated by my better half, it’s time to part ways with this wingback armchair. This is a diminutive chair and if you’re a rather petite person this is a rare opportunity to own your own personal armchair that nobody else can steal because the average sized person won’t be able to comfortably fit in it. The narrowest point of the seat measures 16” wide and 18” wide at the front of the seat between the arms. The fabric is in pristine condition and even retains its original slip covers for the arms. The chair was made by the Barclay Furniture company who was right in our backyard and while they never received national recognition, they filled a regional need crafting fine furniture that would last several generations for their clients around Western Massachusetts. The chair measures 27” wide arm to arm x 19 3/4” deep at the base x 45 1/2” tall. The seat measures 18” wide at the front (16” at the narrowest point) x 16 1/2” deep with a 19” seat height.
