ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TIGER OAK DINING TABLE ON LION PAW BASE W/ 3 LEAVES-PROBABLY HASTINGS
Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer for sale this wonderful antique Victorian tiger oak dining table on a well executed lion paw base. This is a late 19th century table we believe was made by Hastings furniture co. of Michigan. They were a very prolific shop who specialized in oak furniture with classical animorphic elements such as the lion paw or the more elusive double paw.
This table was well cared for and possesses a very pleasing grain. The table is 44' in diameter and can comfortably fit a family around the generous size. When the 3 leaves are added the table is 70 1/2" long and stands 30" tall. The table has very nicely carved Lion Paw legs, a turned middle support leg, and a finely formed molded apron.
