19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN CAST IRON AND WALNUT ADJUSTABLE DICTIONARY STAND ON COLLAPSIBLE BASE BY RM LAMBIE OF NEW YORK
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
We're pleased to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century Victorian cast iron and walnut adjustable dictionary stand by RM Lambie of New York. This is a very fine example with a multitude of adjustable features. The walnut plates can be angled in pitch, widened, and closed shut. When The stand is picked up the collapsible legs fold in place for easy stoage and transportation. The telescoping base can adjust in height up to 47" tall. This example is better than most and a sophisticated design. These are very sought after because of how well they work in modern interiors. It seems as quick as we get them they go out the door. The stand measures 22" wide x 14" deep x 47" tall.
