EXTRAORDINARILY RARE PAIR OF ARTS & CRAFTS SOLID QUARTERED OAK LEADED GLASS DOOR 3/4 SIZED BARRISTER BOOKCASES WITH DRAWER BASES
Bay Colony Antiques takes the most exceptional honor in offering you this extremely rare pair of antique Arts & Crafts period Craftsman 3/4 sized Barrister Bookcases with leaded glass doors and drawer bases. We were speechless when we encountered these and could not purchase them fast enough. We pride ourselves in offering the very best oak Barrister Bookcases in America and here we have reached for the very best once more. As far as Barristers go 1/2 sized are the very rarest followed closely by 3/4 sized Barristers. To find a matched pair is virtually unheard of. To add to their rarity they have leaded glass doors and drawer bases. These are made from thick cuts of solid quartered oak and not oak plywood like most of the main components of oak Barristers. We lost our direct overhead sunlight for our photos but these are much more golden in color than they appear here. We note they were fumed finished at one point and were re-brassed. Other than that & a tiny shellac fill of the back edge of one section (photo provided) they are both in great condition. Each are 43 1/2" tall, 25 1/2" long and 11" deep. The top leaded doors have 7 1/2" door clearance and the mid with base cases all having 9 1/2" door clearance and all are 9" in depth. These are real American Craftsman Arts & Crafts period pieces of both rarity & fine quality for the most discriminating collector.
