With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this very special early 19th century Federal period reverse painted panel Sheraton mirror. This is a lemon washed gold gilded mirror with carved split columns and brass embossed rosettes on each of its corner over a sand painted base. The process is called "rustification" similar to sand used to coat the clapboards of the Mount Vernon. It has a wonderful folk art painted scene of a girl playing a tambourine. It is 32" tall and 16" wide. It is in very good condition with our only detecting a small hairline seasoning split on its top post. It is truly a non issue but it is our policy to disclose anything that comes to our attention.
