PAIRPOINT ANTIQUE SATIN GLASS TRINKET BOX
Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer you this wonderful brightly colored late 19th century Pairpoint satin glass trinket box. Is is made using a swirled hand blown pattern employing yellow, red and white colors. We can not be absolutely certain of this claim but its rim liner and hinge system appears to be made of gold. We note tiny scratches into the surface and with magnification inspection we see no evidence of it being gold plated. Again, we are not certain if its solid gold and it plays no part in its instant value. We love great trinket boxes and this one is approximately 5" tall & 6" wide. It has evidence of an old faded floral painting on its top and a tiny loss from where the lids pontil was ground off. We opted to leave the faded paint alone instead of removing it. That is in the manufacturing and not a damage but we have to disclose everything we observe. You deserve nothing less than that when buying from photos. The box has wonderful faceting and its a magnificent piece.
