We are delighted to offer you this very interesting Victorian oak double stained & leaded glass door Bookcase. It is defined by a fascinating carved Frieze containing Celtic-Druid symbolism relating to Jack in the Green. Below the Frieze sits two Lilly stained glass flowers in a white to green caramelized slag glass. It is equipped with 3 interior adjustable shelves and a double drawer base on carved lion paw feet. The crown of the bookcase has a brilliant Ogee profile. It is 48" long, (51" at the base's intermediary molding), 13" wide and stands 65" tall. The bookcase is in its original finish. It is in overall good condition with some finish loss to the right side of the case. Without debate we opted to leave it alone as opposed to taking the great old organic surface off the bookcase and refinishing it. In our collective careers we have sold thousands of oak bookcases. Before this bookcase we have never seen anything like exactly this specimen. It is truly a jewel of a find that we want to see go to a collector's home.
