Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer you this stunning cherry king sized four poster rice carved Chippendale styled Plantation bed. These are sold by Baker, Henkel & Harris, Kittinger and the very finest furniture makers in America & very expensive when purchased directly from the manufactures. This bed is in very good extra clean condition coming from an impeccably clean non smoking home. Each of its four posts are 87" tall. The bed is 90" long & 77 3/4" wide set up to accept double split foundations and a standard king sized mattress. It took bedding makers a few decades to figure out people need Kind sized bedding to fits up 2nd floor stairs and when foundations were one solid piece they would not. With block shaped legs and both tapered and reed carved posts it represents considerable savings to obtain this like new bed on the secondary market. Yet some insist on paying thousands more.
