This spurred a small family debate as our father believes it’s a poppy bud opposed to a thistle. Perhaps somebody more knowledgeable of botany could offer their opinion. This 18 1/2" vase incorporates the amazing metal smith and artistry work of a master craftsman. This vase is done in sheet cooper over a bee's wax center. We are avid collectors and buyers of decorative arts from the Arts & Crafts period. This is something very special we believe to be Austrian or Scottish Circa 1910. All its panel profiles are decorated, and it is 7" wide including the protruding leaves with a 5" deep body. This big commanding decorative arts piece simply demands your attention as soon as you make eye contact with it.
