The Sodus Bay Community was one of the first thriving Shaker Communities and is of special significance to the history of the Shakers. The chair is pure and correct with even its original rush sea and super desirable wear to its front stretcher. It has wonderful button supports holding its leg rest. Shaker Youth Chairs are extremely rare and do not find their ways out of collections often. We are extremely fortunate and working very hard to have obtained several extremely important Shaker pieces that we will be offering in our various sales venues in the very near future. This chair is 14" long, 14" wide, 31 1/2" tall with a 20" high seat.
