GEORGE III PERIOD MAHOGANY EBONY INLAID SARCOPHAGUS FORMED CELLARETTE
GEORGE III PERIOD MAHOGANY EBONY INLAID SARCOPHAGUS FORMED CELLARETTE
We take the most exceptional honor in offering you this exceptional 18th Century George III Sarcophagus formed mahogany & ebony inlaid Cellarette. These are extremely choice & extremely difficult to find and the utmost select collectible piece. You are looking at one of the best in the United States market place. It has its original zinc liner (almost always missing in the few we see) in a very tasteful green paint finish. The form of this case is simply amazing in one of the most precise of cabinet making techniques. It has its original lock, hinges, and Lion head brass pull with ring. We note it has a replaced top period brass pull that opens its lid & its had tiny feet at one time. Its base is encased with big latticed molding. We received it with a few minor veneer losses which will all be expertly addressed by our woodworker before it leaves our shop. We make no apology or excuses. This stands all on its own. We normally encounter these with the same issue or replaced ball feet. It is being offered as is on that issue but we could have the feet fabricated at extra costs. It is 31 1/2" long, 20" wide and 15" tall.
