Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer you this exceptionally fine early 19th Century English mahogany Barometer with extraordinarily high quality inlaid Conch Shells and Sea Anemonies. Very few of these London made Barometer cases exist today. These are the cases that were made for the famous Italian Scientific Instrument makers of Circa 1810 England. As here Michael Maggi of Exeter. It is of the highest quality employing ebony, fruit and satinwood inlays. It measures 39" long with a 10" wide body. This Barometer was refitted with an alcohol mercury substitute, but the barometer possesses mercury and is not permissible to ship.
