Bay Colony Antiques is honored to offer you this both remarkable & important Federal period late 18th century solid Tiger Maple Tip Top Table with an extremely rare clover shaped top. Our acquisition of this amazing piece of American period furniture is a testament to how hard we work to bring you some of the finest pieces in America. The grain of woods selected for this table reflect the craftsman's pride in his work. It is a bold powerful grain with a consistent grain. We note the presence of hawk carved knees which solidly places this from one of the important shops of Pa in the 18th century. We note some of the period screws have shaken loose off the cleats and tip top's lock was replaced. Our woodworker will re-set its period screws. Our policy is to disclose any issues that come to our attention. When you are buying from photographs you deserve noting less. The top of this table is 35" long and 34 1/2" wide. It stands 26" tall when its locked down.
