This commanding secretary desk has a lighted interior and mirrored back which makes it closer to a collectors showcase than a traditional desk. The top features a broken arch pediment with intricate pierced carved fretwork and fully carved rosette embellishments. Each door has exceptional gothic influenced lattice molding and open to reveal adjustable glass shelves which are well suited for storage of nearly anything you may wish to display. The entire case is constructed with premium mahogany and features a crotched mahogany bookmatched lid and arrangement of drawers with exceptional satinwood band inlay which creates a contrast as beautiful as anything you may ever hope to find. We truly can not say enough to praise the construction of this desk as it is made with only the finest materials available anywhere and to the absolute highest degree of craftsmanship. The bookmatched band inlaid lid folds downward and is supported by pull outs on either side of the top drawer and when opened reveals a masterful interior with several secret hidden compartments. Each drawer is adorned with fine brass hardware and the entire desk is raised on fine ogee bracket feet which provide strong support for this magnificent piece.
