EARLY 19TH CENTURY GLAZED FINISH WITH EGOLMISE FEDERAL MIRROR
With our compliments we are pleased to offer you this sweet 1820,'s Federal period glazed finished mirror with molded gold gilt scallops and intricate mountings in Spanish brown colored paint finish. Its eglomise panel has bucolic depiction of a windmill on a stream. The glass is very nice and original. These are very fragile little gems of an early American decorative art process of glazed painting of which few survived in this condition. There is some small transfer loss on its holly and berry decal eglomise panel, but most acceptable for a 200 year old mirror. It is 28" tall and 13 3/4" wide.
