EXCEPTIONALLY FINE EARLY 20TH CENTURY PITTSBURG LAMP WITH REVRESE PAINTED LANDSACPE SCENE

We take the most delight in offering you this fine early 20th century Pittsburgh reverse glass painted table lamp. This is a first offering estate piece for us. It comes from a most important collection of lamps and art glass and we fully expect to bring you the full breath and scope soon of this magnificent collection carefully assembled in the late 1980's under the strict supervision of a most discriminating collector in Massachusetts. This is a very emotional process for this person and the entire family. We remain deeply thankful and very respectful to all concerns. Its shade possesses a very superior work by Pittsburgh's artisans of the day. It is a lovely bucolic landscape with a river with great earth tone and brighter hues of pinks and reds capturing a gorgeous sky. The lamp is correct and completely original. The edge of the shade is nice and smooth with only a few very tiny rougher surface. This is the maker's glass finishing process. We note no chips and possibly one maybe two tiny flea bites that appear to be manufacturing matters. It's every ounce of what it should be - the best of its class! The only issue we note is one socket that indeed works needing a pull chain's switch fixed. We will swap out the guts of that socket and take a hard look at the interior insulators. We truly do care about your safety and urge you all to be very careful with old wiring issues. We take this equally as serious. This table lamp is 24" tall with a 15" wide shade. It has its original base, dust cap and weighter. Pictures provided of all. This is a superior Pittsburgh Lamp. We have handled hundreds of them in the last decade and please save us the debate between that or Jefferson. Both are fabulous lamps. Our books say Pittsburgh and that's that. We give great thought and all due considerations to offering our lamps and art glass. We know these represent sizable investments and we want you as thrilled as we are to be offering this and all our other pieces. Thank you ever so much for your kindness and understanding. Our dedication to excellence is a deep commitment.
