With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this wonderful and most exceptional 1895 "Brevete" "SGDG" Parisian clock made and signed by the hands of "J. Maury" "Lisbonne" France. This is what's considered an "office clock" or "School House Regulator" with numerous complications of time, day, month and year. This even has 20th century considerations added to its complications. Making a clock for the next 100 years planned is precision. The clock came to us in working order. We still sent it out to be completely serviced by our clock man. All of our clock customers are delighted with the solid buys they made in our fine clocks. Our inventory must keep moving as quickly, but as carefully as possible. This clock is fresh off the wall of a wonderful estate. It's a fantastic, true 1895 dated handsome French clock anyone would be proud to own. We know it as sure as any seriously interested client does too. This clock isn't coming to you with a "best of luck". It will be properly serviced and you can directly contact our clock man if you ever have an issue. This clock's case is in a sweet, naturally distressed, black lacquer paint finish with nice dry crusty paint. This is a real gem right out of a Westerly, RI estate. We worked very hard to obtain it and we are truly proud of the fact this has our name on it. All its moving parts and clock body case are date stamped "1895". Its face is in lovely rosewood with fine brass inlays of the highest quality. It's festooned with great labels and pen script signatures all over it. The glass is perfect and hinges front and back doors strong and true. It was loved and treasured, owned by an Important American family since it was new. Bought in Paris and carried right back to America. That's a thought of times gone by- In the Gilded Age a member of this family sailed to Paris, was educated there and shipped it home to her with many amazing French antiques. The case measures 17" X 20 1/2" tall and 6" wide.
