This is an exceptionally fine desk in very good original condition. The crest of the secretary is adorned with excellent carving work with various other carved motifs occurring through out the entire body of the case. It employs a very nice balance of burled walnut panels on its cylinder roll top lid and in numerous other panels. The secretary top has three adjustable shelves and all its original nice old wavy glass panes. It's equipped with a full interior of drawers and document cubbies along with a pull out work surface tab. The desk has all its original locks and brasses. This large attractive desk represents the very height of quality in the Victorian aesthetic movement. The desk is 42" long, 24 1/2" wide and stands 95" tall. The writing desk is 30" high and has a usable 20" X 33" in work area.
