Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer you this very choice early Baker furniture company Queen Anne styled tiger maple sideboard. This is one of Baker's earliest production runs with it being brass tagged and paint decal signed on back panel identifying it as their model 440. This is very rare for Baker products. We fully understand their cost prohibitive prices new and the reselling of quality Baker products is a specialty of our firm. We understand this market and the new costs of Baker products. As we say "it costs a lot of money once like a fur coat".This tiger maple veneered sideboard has wonderful form and scale with a superbly scrolled apron, graceful pad feet on shoes, 1 long top top drawer over 1 short drawer with removable silver service box flanked by 2 very clever right and left bottle doors cleverly designed as faux drawer faces. We note some very minor top surface wear (our policy is disclose even the slightest flaws we observe) and its in excellent condition always having been loved and cherished from an immaculate estate on Long Island New York. Money was no object for its last owner. It is nicely defined with Queen Anne brasses and Cupid's bow cut out side panels measuring 52" long, 19" wide and 35" tall.
