EARLY 20TH CENTURY ANTIQUE ARTS & CRAFTS / MISSION OAK CHINA CABINET WITH 3 SHELVES AND GALLERY
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
Were pleased to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century arts and crafts quarter sawn oak double glass door china. This is as clean and good of an example as they come most likely made by one of the more prolific shops like Lifetime or Union. The cabinet is in its first surface with a rare and attractive gallery. There are 3 full length oak shelves with plate grooves incised in. The cabinet retains it's original rippled and seeded glass. We note a missing escutcheon plate, we'll match one up of the period. Our true passions lie in earlier 18th century American furniture especially from Boston and surrounding areas. We're seeing such a high demand for clean antique arts and crafts oak we're trying to keep up and have a select few higher grade examples such as this in our inventory. We've reached yet another volume shipping discount and it's never been more cost efficient to have our items shipped across the continental US. This came to us from a lovely VT estate where it housed an exceptional collection of arts & crafts pottery. Unfortunately the furniture needed to be sold but the collection stayed in tact with the couple. The cabinet measures 42" wide x 14 3/4" deep x 60" tall. The height at the work surface is 55 1/2".
