We're pleased to offer for sale this great pair of Georgian antique style mahogany & burl walnut 2 drawer nightstands. The stands have exceptional burl walnut shaped tops with a carved molded edge. The use of parquetry on the top creates a very attractive visual effect through the use of octagons and squares fit together. The entire top has a contrasting mahogany cross banding. The side panels are finished as well with a bold walnut grain. The drawer faces are again walnut with a cross banded border with a serpentine form meeting in a center block panel. The drawers are fitted with brass tear drop pulls with a floral back plate. The cabriolet legs are decorated with elongated shell carvings along the knee and terminate in pad feet. These are finished in an attractive golden finish that glows and creates a stunning overall visual effect. The stands are 24" wide x 16" deep x 29" tall.
