We're pleased to offer for sale this great early 20th century ox blood red tufted leather wing back arm chair. This is an extremely well made chair exhibiting a complex form. The wing back portion is very generous with a series of complex curves. The natural leather is dyed a great oxblood red and has great characteristics from the natural hide. The back of the chair is tufted and decorative brass tacks accent the frame. This has a down feather cushion and is a very comfortable chair. Perfect for a study or library room. The chair stands on two front carved cabriolet legs terminating in fine spade feet. The H formed turned stretcher adds extra support on this stately chair. Period examples of a chair like this regularly sell for 4-5 k and in many times more depending on the form. This is a chance to have the look and every bit of the quality at a fraction of the price. The chair measures 34" wide x 28" deep x 46" tall. The height at the seat is 20".
