SUPER MASSACHUSETTS NORTH SHORE FEDERAL PERIOD FIRE BOARD

With our utmost honor we are delighted to bring you this early 19th century Massachusetts North Shore Federal period correct fireplace decorative "fireboard" with untouched original hand painted on paper format scene of a brilliantly boarded scene of a fishbowl with a snoozing cat atop and a vase with flowers. The last one we saw that was remotely as nice as this, was contained in one of the four fire boards on display in the collection at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass. These are rare, only a handful survived and this is the genuine article. It has been wired for wall hanging decoration where its spent most of its life. Its back planks show all its true age and charm. It is 35 3/4" by 29 1/2". Simply a fabulous piece of accurate federal period interior decorative art.
