EARLY 19TH CENTURY CHIPPENDALE VIRGINIA WALNUT BLANKET CHEST
We take the most exceptional pleasure in offering you this outstandingly correct and purely original Circa 1810's Virginia U.S. Southern Colonies Chippendale period Blanket Chest. The Chippendale period extended into the early 19th Century in U.S. Southern Furniture where New England, New York and parts of P.A. had moved into the Sheraton and Empire period. This is an American jewel with hand molded drawers, first surface finish and brasses. Its apron is fantastically formed with cut out sides and excellent bracket formed feet. All its secondary pine panels are straight and nicely hand tooled chamfered. It measures 37 1/4" long x 16 1/2" wide x 34" tall. We love U.S. Southern furniture, very passionate about its acquisition and resale to eager collectors.
