We're pleased to offer for sale this excellent early 19th century hand forged wrought iron adjustable saw tooth trammel. Trammels are always a nice addition to home and hearth collections. We can only imagine how many hot meals were served thanks to this trammel during it's 200+ year life. The round hanging hole sits atop the central shaft with a shoe lever mechanism that allows the trammel to adjust in length with ease. When the mechanism is engaged the trammel holds sturdy and true. The trammel shows everything you want to see with this age with an attractive consistent pitting. When the trammel is completely closed it's 30" tall x 5" wide. When the trammel is fully opened it's 48" tall.
