This example was produced by the Paine's Furniture Company of Boston, Massachusetts towards the end of the Victorian era. Paine's Furniture was among the leading manufacturers of premium quality home and office furniture in the Greater Boston area during the 19th and 20th centuries and their products remain popular today among collectors of fine antique furniture. We have had the privilege of selling Paine's Furniture for the past half century and have done so proudly as their products have well endured the test of time. This cabinet is generally referred to as a side cabinet however it was used for many years as an office cabinet to compliment a suite of fine tiger oak office furniture. There are a variety of practical uses for this cabinet including as a perfect bedside cabinet with a practical single drawer and lower interior cabinet storage. The cabinet is finished with a darker golden oak tone which has developed a lovely depth of color throughout time. The front of the cabinet has a single brass door pull and an antique brass drawer pull with a bail handle. The case is constructed with frame and panel sides that allow for seasonal changes to the antique tiger oak wood frame which ensures longevity for generations to come. The cabinet still retains the original paper labels from the Paine's Furniture factory with one of the labels being completely intact. The cabinet measures 18" wide x 18" deep x 29 3/8" tall.
