ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK RAISED PANEL OFFICE FILE CABINET BY CUTLER WITH TWENTY-SIX DRAWERS
With our absolute highest compliments Bay Colony Antiques takes the utmost pleasure in presenting this remarkable antique file cabinet. This particular example is a commanding cabinet consisting of twenty-six individual drawers and two pull out writing tabs which retract from the center of the case. The entire case is comprised of solid white oak lumber and has raised panels on both sides. Remarkably, this cabinet is completely all original with the surface having been left undisturbed for well over a century. The original decal denoting "Cutler" in gold script is preserved upon the center of the top edge in this cabinet. The Cutler Furniture Company was a leading manufacturer of premium oak office furniture with production dating back to the late 19th century. Every drawer is dovetailed and fitted with elegant brass placard holders with only one drawer lacking a label holder. In our experience these cabinets were intended for offices, industrial spaces, hardware and jewelry companies, and for practical business purposes. This cabinet is among the finest available anywhere and we feel quite fortunate to be able to offer it for the consideration of collectors across the country. The cabinet measures 31 1/4” wide x 21 3/4” deep x 59 3/4” tall.
