Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century Antique Tiger Maple & Mahogany console table / server. The table was made by the Danersk furniture company which was founded in the early 20th century by the Erskine-Danforth corporation. Although they were a prolific company, we don’t encounter their pieces too often. They reproduced Early American furniture and we’re always excited to find their Danersk brand mark and have found a home for the few pieces we have encountered rather quickly.
The table has a shaped top which has an unusual Mahogany grain pattern with large arches present and a molded edge. The front and sides of the apron are Tiger Maple with a nice chatoyancy present and a wonderful scrolling pattern along the bottom edge of the front. We didn’t know this had a drawer when we first encountered the piece but were pleasantly surprised when we got a little closer and learned there was a drawer. The presence of the drawer gives the table much more versatility and we think this would make a great server in a dining room. This would also make a great console table or entryway table. The able is signed Danersk with a brand mark underneath the drawer. The legs have a nice turning pattern and are pretty similar to a Danersk Jelly cupboard that we have in stock at the moment. The two would work very well together. The table measures 39” wide x 21” deep x 29” tall.
