EARLY 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND SHERATON CHERRY WORKTABLE / NIGHTSTAND WITH BLANK DRAWER
We’re pleased to offer for sale this charming early 19th century antique Sheraton Cherry worktable. A fine example of New England craftsmanship from the Federal period, this table showcases a beautiful Cherry top and was constructed with White Pine secondaries which were typical throughout the region for its availability and workability. The table features a single drawer, constructed with hand-cut dovetails and retaining its original paneled bottom. This is a blank drawer, meaning it was never fitted with a knob or pull—a subtle detail that adds to its understated appeal and refined simplicity. The legs exhibit a nice turning pattern, and the table would make a wonderful nightstand or bedside table. The worktable measures 17” wide x 15 1/2” deep x 28 3/4” tall.
