RARE MATCH SAFE OF A CHINESE CARICATURE HEAD WITH LIFE LIKE ATTRIBUTES

For sale is this match safe from a collection we recently acquired from a New England estate of a Chinese caricature head with life like eyes and bristle brush hair moustache. The head is made of clay and the backing is a hard paper like substance with a bamboo skin on its backing. It has holes for mounting, in addition to a ribbon which has always been used. It has some paint loss, but well within acceptable limits. It is 4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. A very unusually rare piece.
