EARLY 20TH CENTURY ART DECO GRAND SILVER CO. WEAR BRITE SILVER PLATE CHAMPAGNE BUCKET
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
We're pleased to offer for sale this great early 20th century silver plate Art Deco champagne bucket. This bucket exhibits great proportions with an attractive fluted column with a compressed ball at the center. The bucket is signed "Grand Silver co" & "Wear Brite" NY under the base. The company was founded ~ 1910 in New York City with talented metal artisans producing luxury goods. The company survived the great depression and continued to prosper well into the late 20th century. We could easily go out and purchase a plethora of the vintage smaller table top examples but the earlier larger stands like this one are rare to encounter. This is one of the companies earliest stamped marks, easily identified from the later marks which contain a circle in the center of the stamp.
