This example is an usual and rare variation of a traditional tall chest made in the popular American federal style. An exceptional amount of craftsmanship went into creating this chest and only premium materials were selected for its construction. The exterior of the dresser features stunning bird's eye maple with a brilliant and vibrant grain, along with oak to form the remainder of the case, and cherry to accent the faces of each drawer. All five drawers are fitted with shaped glass knobs and work as to be expected with minimal effort required to open or close.
The drawers have a considerable amount of storage capacity and will remain perfectly dependable given the dovetailed construction and reinforcing nails which strengthen the areas that may otherwise weaken over time. The tall chest is quite reliable and strong having been well cared for and maintained over the past century. Overall the chest is in wonderful condition and remains absolutely beautiful with warm contrasting colors and a spectacular grain pattern. The chest measures 37 3/4” wide x 22 3/4 deep x 53 1/4” tall.
