Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century antique Chippendale style Tiger Maple mirror. The mirror showcases an intricate scrolling pattern and bold grain Tiger Maple veneer. The scrolled crest is also pierce carved at the center and further decorated with a gesso carved full-bodied Phoenix. The glass is original and has a few age spots which we like to see, but nothing that obscures use. Antique mirrors are delicate by nature, but this one was well cared for and remains in excellent condition with our only notes being one very small veneer chip on the top crest, and the side ears towards the bottom were cleverly rounded out at some point in the mirror's life. The mirror measures 21 3/4” at its widest point x 1” deep x 42 1/2” tall. The sight size of the glass is 15 1/2” wide x 29 1/2” tall.
