Antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak Mirrored Hall Tree / Entryway Bench
Antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak Mirrored Hall Tree / Entryway Bench
Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak hall tree / entryway bench. We really don’t handle many hall trees because the majority of them weren’t very well made and aren’t worth enough for us to allocate our warehousing space and ship them across the country. This one is a fine exception and is one of the best Arts & Crafts hall trees that we’ve encountered in years. The quarter sawn Oak that was used to make this is very high quality with vibrant rays & flecks present in the grain. The hall tree is unsigned but was clearly made in an advanced cabinet shop. We skimmed through a few dozen of our early 20th century trade catalogs but couldn't find a match in any of them. Only a handful of companies even advertised hall trees in their catalogs. The finish is in very good condition and is a beautiful medium brown color that will pair well with most Arts & Crafts / Mission interiors. The hall tree has a large mirror with a beveled edge & 4 hooks, each with 4 arms. The seat can also lift up to reveal a storage compartment within the frame. The hall tree measures 37" wide at the arms (32 3/4" at body) x 15" deep x 72" tall. The sight size of the mirror is 19 1/4" wide x 51" tall.
