ANTIQUE ARTS & CRAFTS TIGER OAK FOUR DRAWER FILE CABINET BY WAGEMAKER
With our compliments Bay Colony Antiques proudly offers this wonderful antique file cabinet. During the late 19th century, factories began producing these quality file cabinets for the rapidly increasing business and commercial needs of the nation. Wagemaker emerged as one of the leading manufacturers of these premier file cabinets with operations based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The file cabinet is constructed with boldly figured tiger oak lumber with four drawers that work quite well due in part to a simple wooden runner system. Each drawer is fitted with a brass handle and label holder and the original gold decal denoting "Wagemaker" has remained in great condition.
The basic design of these cabinets follows a standard format that has proven to be the most superior way to construct the case of a file so that it will remain reliable and perfectly usable even after a century from the time it was built. The key to ensuring the cabinet will be so dependable well into the future are the premium materials involved in making the cabinet along with the raised panel sides that allow the cabinet to adjust with humidity changes brought on with every season. Based on the special care this file cabinet has received along with the quality of its construction we have no doubt that it will remain the best option for a home or office filing system for many years to come.
The file cabinet measures 19 1/2" wide x 27 1/2" deep x 49 1/2" tall. The drawers allow for usable interior dimensions which measure 15 1/4" wide x 24" deep x 10 1/4" tall.
