Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts / Mission Oak L&JG Stickley rocking chair. This is one of their most desirable chairs which we believe is model number 405. The chair has a 5 slat horizontal back with curved slats to provide optimal comfort. The chair has large paddle arms and curved stretchers on the front and sides. The chair showcases a beautiful Tiger Oak grain and retains its original spring seat and very old, possibly original light green fabric. For the purists out there that value authenticity over all, the back of the chair has remnants of the original 100+ year old leather. The original finish is completely undisturbed and is a beautiful medium brown oak color. The chair measures 27 3/4” wide x 29” deep x 37” tall with an 18 1/2” seat height. The chairs retains its original L&JG Stickley decal under the arm.
