We are pleased to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century Antique Arts & Crafts / Mission Oak armchair. The chair showcases bold Tiger Oak grain and a sophisticated design. The chair has a 6 slat back with a curved crest rail and curved seat box. Directly above the seat box there are additional horizontal stretchers that are semi unusual and would probably be the most unique feature to aid in identifying a maker. We’re not certain but believe the chair was made by one of the Stickley brothers, probably L&JG Stickley. A previous owner tightened up the chair with an epoxy putty. It is now extremely sturdy with our only additional condition notes being some nicks on the frame and minor surface wear. The chair measures 27 1/4” wide x 22” deep x 39” tall. The seat measures 19 1/2” wide between the arms x 17” deep with a 19 1/2” seat height.
