Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer this exceptional early 20th century Antique Arts & Crafts / Mission Oak bench. While we were unable to locate a maker's mark, its craftsmanship speaks for itself, reflecting the quality found in pieces from renowned Arts & Crafts furniture manufacturers such as Gustav Stickley, L&JG Stickley, Charles Limbert, Quaint Furniture, JM Young, Harden, Lifetime, Roycroft, Shop of the Crafters, etc. The entire bench was expertly crafted from high-grade solid Quarter Sawn Oak, showcasing the distinctive and vibrant rays of the grain. It features a 15-slat back, large paddle arms, and slatted sides, all classic elements of the Arts & Crafts style that was gaining popularity in American homes during the early 20th century. The original spring seat frame remains intact and in excellent condition providing superior comfort. The seat was reupholstered with a durable blue vinyl fabric by the previous owners, showing only minor scuffs and slight discolorations, but remaining free of any holes or tears and absolutely suitable for use in its current state.
