ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU BURLED WALNUT LADIES DRESSER WITH OVAL FOLDING MIRRORS

This dresser has all of the embellishments any collector could hope to find and stands as a fantastic representation of art nouveau design. Whether the intended use for this dresser is for clothing storage, or to serve as a fully functioning vanity, this piece is well suited to fill the needs of whomever may require such a wonderful antique.
The dresser was constructed a full century ago at the height of the Art Nouveau design movement. The entire case is crafted from a beautiful selection of walnut with burled walnut chosen to highlight the front of each drawer. Three adjusting oval mirrors with beveled edges mount to the opposing twin upper storage compartments and are easily removed should the dresser need to be safely transported. All three mirror frames are masterfully carved with foliate elements in stunning detail. The central mirror has a few spiraling silvered age spots typical of antique glass each roughly the size of a small coin.
Both of the upper cabinet doors feature raised panels that are inlaid with Art Nouveau motifs and colorized in a manner reminiscent of the famous design master Harvey Ellis. All four drawers are fitted with spectacular brass pulls that are embossed with thistle flower elements. Overall this dresser is in exceptional condition with a medium brown walnut color that provides this piece with a warmth and beauty seldomly found today. The overall dimensions of the dresser measure 42 1/2" wide x 19 1/2" deep x 73" tall. The central surface stands 27" tall while the top of the dresser surface measures 34 1/2" tall on either ends. Both the left and right mirrors measure 36" tall and 10 1/2" wide. The larger central mirror measures 42" tall and 19 1/2" wide.
