Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful set of 8 Chippendale antique style mahogany dining chairs. The set of 6 side chairs and 2 arm chairs are in fantastic condition with minimal surface wear and fantastic pink & white fish scale design seats. We note a few light staining spots in the fabric and a few loose threads in the embroidery that can be seen in our stand alone seat photo. We try to point out every little thing to our clients who're purchasing investment grade antiques online through pictures and description only. The fabric is certainly in acceptable condition and since these are slip seats they can easily be removed and brought to an upholsterer if you wish to put a new fabric on. The set was crafted from imported mahogany and are heavily decorated with absolutely everything one would look for in a fine set. The chairs have fluted marlborough legs, curved seat rails, carved stiles, carved arms, wonderful floral & drapery carvings throughout the back, and a finely formed pierced splat. We sold a few sets of chairs around the holidays and have been eagerly searching for more but we didn't want to settle for a lesser set. Our patience has paid off and we're excited to offer this great set to our clients around the country. The arm chairs measure 24 1/4" wide x 20" deep x 41" tall with a seat height of 18". The seat alone measures 19 1/2" wide between the arms x 18 1/2" deep. The side chairs measure 19" wide x 17" deep x 39 3/4" tall with a seat height of 18".
