20TH CENTURY QUEEN ANNE ANTIQUE STYLE TIGER MAPLE FAN CARVED LOWBOY
We're pleased to offer for sale this wonderful 20th century Queen Anne antique style tiger maple lowboy. The chest is crafted in the 18th century manner with dovetailed transitions & pegged joinery. The chest is signed in pencil inside the case reading " GG Whitmore co built by John Greco Middletown CT. This is a custom made reproduction executed to perfection with exquisite attention to detail. The chest is defined by it's nice bold grain tiger maple top with pinched corners, graceful cabriole legs with pad feet, & fan carved center drawer. 18th century examples of this form seldom surface but when they do they always command high prices. The lowboy measures 33 1/2" wide x 20" deep x 30 3/4" tall.
