Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century antique Queen Anne style lowboy / dressing table. The lowboy is extremely well made and we refused to believe this wasn’t a period lowboy from the original pictures we received because of the impressive attention to detail. The lowboy could have been made towards the end of the 19th century but it’s hard to definitively tell because the cabinet maker used hand tools and worked with 18th century techniques. The lowboy has a scrolled out apron that we often see on Massachusetts furniture and furniture from the surrounding New England states. The lowboy has a fan carved center drawer and 4 finely formed cabriolet legs with pad feet. We love the aged varnish on the dressing table and the dark case contrasts the maple drawers very nicely. These are traditionally bedroom pieces but they also work well in dining rooms & foyers. The lowboy is in fantastic condition with our only notes being minor surface wear. The lowboy measures 39 3/4” wide x 20 3/4” deep x 37 1/4” tall.
