These are unsigned but should be easy to locate in the catalogs. Henkel Harris continues to produce some of the finest home furnishings with exquisite attention to detail of timeless antique designs. The partnership began in 1940's between the Henkel family and John Harris. The unlikely trio was rather inexperienced in cabinet making but spent countless hours studying antiques they coveted so highly. They paid particular mind to the way these timeless treasures were crafted and finished and sought out to recreate the quality of Americas golden age of cabinetry. The name has become synonymous with quality and tradition. Henkel Harris furniture cost an exorbitant amount new from the showroom, this set of chairs are in excellent condition and available for a fraction of their original price. This set consists 12 very complex and sophisticated compass seat mahogany dining chairs that are simply off the charts. Henkel Harris became a prolific company and continues to produce fine home furnishing. These chairs have a compass formed seat box decorated with crotch mahogany. The fabric is a tasteful black with a pleasing geometric pattern with a yellow / gold diamond design. The set has 12 chairs total, 10 side chairs & 2 arm chairs. Every chair has a beautiful mahogany splat with exceptional mahogany grain pattern and a carved and rolled crest on the top of the chairs. The chairs have front cabriolet legs terminating in pad feet and the arm chairs have fantastically formed rolled arms. The entire set was cherished for many years and in exceptionally clean condition. The seats are free from odors, rips, and stains. The arm chairs measure 24" wide x 18" deep x 40" tall with a seat height of 18". The side chairs measure 22" wide x 18" deep x 40" tall with a seat height of 18".
These chairs came to us as a dining set. We have made this listing solely for the 12 chairs. We have another listing for solely a Henkel Harris mahogany table and four leaves.
