Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century Federal antique style shell carved mirror by Borghese. Borghese produced a number of different decorative arts but are best known for their fantastic mirrors. The company was founded in the early 1920's and was in business for about 50 years surviving the Great Depression and WWII. The earliest production runs are the most collectible and were crafted to a higher standard than their mid century & later objects. This mirror has rope twist moldings along the convex edges, an undisturbed set of gilt balls around the crown, & a superb shell carved center panel. The mirror measures 24 1/2" wide x 4" deep x 40 3/4" tall.
