We're proud to offer for sale this absolutely stunning 20th century Federal antique style mahogany sideboard by Councill Craftsmen. Councill Craftsmen was founded in 1973 and continues to produce some of the finest home furnishings for sale. This is probably their most popular & desirable sideboard. The sideboard has beautiful crotched mahogany doors & drawer faces with an ebony & holly string inlay with satinwood fans & satinwood borders. The sideboard has it's original embossed brass pulls and the top drawer is fitted with a felt liner to hold silver. The server has a nice serpentine form and commands attention on elegantly tapered legs with inlaid bellflowers & satinwood cuffs. We purchased this from a fine Salem, MA estate where it was well cared for with only very minimal surface wear. One of the doors that we have pictured by itself has a small dry spot in the finish but we'll be sure to have our master restorer address it. We've been so busy with new inventory and our warehouses are completely stuffed but we have amazing stuff coming in every day. We have a few good country Chippendale case pieces, an early signed Stickley library table, some top tier desks, and much more we're processing. The sideboard measures 56" wide x 21" deep x 38" tall.
