We're pleased to offer for sale this great set of 4 antique wrought iron & walnut ice cream parlor stools. Ice cream parlors have long been a part of history with the earliest modern traces dating back to the early 18th century. These early gelato or iced dairy treats were generally reserved for the wealthy upper class. With the invention and popularity of automobiles and rail travel ice cream became a popular more accessible delight. This led to a significant increase of ice cream parlors and malt shoppes. This great 20th cetury set of four stools have a twisted wrought iron base in a clean rubbed bronze colored finish. The wood seats are in great condition and they're nice and sturdy. Each stool measures 15" wide x 15" deep x 26 1/2" tall. The diameter at the seat is 12".
