19th CENTURY VERMONT MAPLE HARVEST TABLE-SHERATON PERIOD TREASURE!
19th CENTURY VERMONT MAPLE HARVEST TABLE-SHERATON PERIOD TREASURE!
With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this very early 19th Century Sheraton period Vermont made solid maple harvest table. Its previous owner had its top refinished in a nutmeg colored finish. This Harvest table remained in one Massachusetts family for several generations. The original surface and 200 years of surface wear was objectionable to the lady of the house and she had the top redone in a nutmeg stain to match her chairs. Its top is correct to the base and the piece enjoys all its structural integrity. It has six finely tuned Sheraton legs, four of the legs are mounted to a great double hinged gate leg system that supports the leaves. It features a dovetailed joined table box and the base finish was never touched. It is 60" long, 17 1/4" wide with its two massive leaves down and 43 1/4" wide when the leaves are locked up on its ingenious gate leg supports and its 28 1/2" tall.
