19th CENTURY SHAKER TOLEWARE SPICE CANISTER SET WITH SIX LIDDED SPICE TIN JARS
With our compliments we are proud to offer you this fabulous mid to late 19th Century Shaker Spice Canister set. We came by several choice pieces earlier this spring in the Canterbury Community's' immediate surrounding towns of NH. The Canterbury Shaker Community was founded by Mother Anne Lee in 1792. It was the 7th in NH by that point and it survived for 200 years being one of the most prolific community's out of all of them. This toleware spice canister set is simply a gem and one of the best. This canister set is sweet, in a great black original paint with a mustard yellow trim. It has original pull ring and hinges are beautiful. The interior contains six lidded tin toleware painted canisters. Three are noted mace, one clover, one cinnamon and one is unmarked. They even have original various spices in them. This box is 7" wide, 3" tall and in remarkable condition coming from a fabulous little home in a real slice of heaven NH.
