FANTASTIC 19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN HANGING CORNER CABINET W/ FRETWORK PAGODA CREST

Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We're pleased to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century Victorian walnut hanging corner cabinet w/ eastlake / aesthetic elements. As designs and taste evolved in the late 19th century high relief carved Victorian elements made way for a simpler, cleaner, Aesthetic movement. The movement is recognized for their strong use of rectilinear and geometric designs and low relief carving. Although the process was simpler and more affordable the work can be very complex. This wonderful cabinet employs a mixed use of colors in an aesthetically pleasing manner. There's a strong use of Anglo-Japanese elements especially on the fretwork pagoda design crest. This cabinet was immaculately cared for and it shows. We simply don't offer goods with major flaws or defects. The cabinet is 24 1/2" wide x 13 1/4" deep x 40 1/2" tall. The flat surface is 33" from the bottom of the cabinet.
